Intermediary status and performance of the transport service

Paris Taxi Booking (trading style used on the English pages of this site) acts as an intermediary putting clients in touch with self-employed drivers (licensed taxi or private-hire / VTC drivers, as applicable) who carry out the journey. The publisher receives requests, forwards them to available professionals and organises contact (phone, messaging, written confirmation), within the applicable legal framework.

The transport service itself (the actual carriage of passengers) is performed by the independent driver who accepts the booking. Unless expressly stated otherwise on your booking confirmation, the publisher is not a party to the contract of carriage as the carrier.

Claims relating to how the trip was carried out should first be raised with the driver concerned and/or reported to the publisher, who will forward them to the relevant driver within a reasonable time. The publisher’s liability as an intermediary is distinct from the carrier’s liability for faults in performing the transport, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules.
